The real story lies in recent momentum. Over its last six races, Dance In The Storm has won twice, including that recent victory at Chester on 2 August. That win came after a three-week absence and shows it can return from a break in sharp form. However, the horse has also shown it needs to find another gear when stepping up to the very top level. In three attempts at Class 2 races — one of the best competitions in British racing — it has failed to win, which hints at a ceiling, at least for now.

Oisin Murphy has partnered with the horse six times and won twice with it, a 33% win rate together that sits slightly above the horse's overall record. That suggests they run well in harness. Andrew Balding's yard at Kingsclere has been firing on all cylinders this season with 202 winners, so Dance In The Storm is in the right environment. The horse made its breakthrough as recently as January 2025 at Wolverhampton, so it is still very much learning its trade. With two wins in the last six outings and a trainer in red-hot form behind it, there is every reason to think this horse could pick up more winners before the season ends.
