Anthony Honeyball trains out of Mosterton in Dorset, and his yard has been in serious form this season, sending out 51 winners — the kind of output that tells you horses leave that stable fit and ready to race. Dance And Glance has benefited from that environment, and jockey Rex Dingle seems to bring the best out of him: in their six races together, Dingle has steered him to two wins, landing at that same one-in-three ratio that defines the horse's whole career. That consistency between horse and rider matters. It means they have worked something out.

The ground is a key part of the story. On normal conditions, Dance And Glance has won four of his eight races — exactly half. That is a remarkable conversion rate and suggests a horse that simply operates at a different level when the track is neither too wet nor too firm. When conditions suit, he is the kind of runner opponents would rather not see in the same field. His favoured level is Class 4, where he has also won three of six races — again, 50%. He is not a horse trying to punch above his weight; he competes where he can dominate.

His first win came at Plumpton in May 2024, and Anthony Honeyball had flagged him as one to watch even before that, noting he had run well at Newbury before making his breakthrough. The trainer saw something promising early on, and the horse has justified that confidence. His most recent win came at Haydock Park in April 2026, just five weeks ago, and with a race just yesterday, he is clearly an active, busy horse going into the summer in decent nick.

Recent form of 3-1-5-2-1-4 tells a slightly mixed story — the fifth-place finish stands out — but there are two wins buried in those last six runs, and the last result is recent enough that drawing conclusions feels premature. What the overall picture shows is a horse that competes seriously, wins often, and is trained by someone who clearly knows how to keep him coming back ready to perform.
