Daler

Trained by G M Lyons at Dunsany in Co Meath, Daler runs for a yard in excellent form this season with 43 winners already sent out to the track. His regular pilot is Colin Keane, though their partnership has yet to produce a win from ten attempts together — a reminder that even the best jockeys and trainers do not always click with every horse. Daler's recent third and second-place finishes suggest he remains competitive at his level, capable of running in the places, but the gap between his last victory and his comeback run suggests he may have either been off the track for a spell or is simply struggling to find the winning formula consistently. At four years old, he is entering an age where horses often begin to peak, yet Daler seems content for now to mix decent efforts with races that do not quite go to plan.
