Cuban Lady

Her one career win arrived at Windsor on 2 June 2025, and at the level she typically races — Class 5, which is where horses are finding their confidence and figuring things out — she has won 1 from 3 at that grade, a healthy rate of roughly 1 in 3. Her recent form reads 8-6-3-2-5-1 going back through her last six races, and there is something encouraging buried in there: after that Windsor win, she has been creeping back toward the front, finishing third and then second in back-to-back races before a couple of tougher outings. She raced just yesterday, so she is very much in the thick of a busy campaign.

She is trained by Tom Clover, whose Newmarket yard has been in strong form this season with 23 winners on the board. Newmarket is one of the great centres of British racing, and a trainer firing out that kind of volume tends to know which horses are ready to run and when. Cuban Lady is in capable hands, and with her record of making the podium regularly, another win is a matter of when rather than if.
