Crosshaven

The recent form tells a straightforward story: a tenth, a seventh, and most recently a run that didn't earn a finishing position at all. The direction of travel isn't encouraging, and at this stage Crosshaven looks like a horse still searching for the right opportunity to put it all together.

What works in its favour is time. At four years old, there is plenty of racing ahead, and it is trained by John Joseph Murphy, whose yard has already sent out eight winners this season — proof that the stable knows how to get horses to the line first. Whether Crosshaven can become one of those winners remains to be seen, but it is clearly in capable hands.
