Trained by Jessica Bedi out of Kirklevington in North Yorkshire, Credit Union is part of a small yard that has quietly sent out two winners already this season, so the operation clearly knows how to get a horse ready to perform. Whether Credit Union can eventually follow its stablemates into the winner's enclosure remains to be seen. The horse raced just yesterday, meaning it is right in the middle of its campaign, and trainers sometimes need time to find the right race for a horse that is still learning its trade at five years old.

For now, though, the facts are what they are: zero wins and zero places from three attempts. Every horse has to start somewhere, but Credit Union will need to find significant improvement to give its the yard — and anyone watching — something to cheer about.
