Cormorant Rock

Recent form tells a mixed story. Over the last six races, Cormorant Rock has finished third, ninth, fourth, fifth, eighth, and fourth again — the kind of inconsistent record that suggests a horse still searching for its level or perhaps the right conditions. Nothing here looks catastrophic, but nothing looks close to a breakthrough either. The horse was out racing just a day ago, so it remains an active part of the yard's plans, which at least means the trainer still believes there is something to work with. Whether Cormorant Rock will ever make it to the winner's enclosure remains to be seen, but for now it is a horse still very much in development, waiting for either a change in circumstances or a race where everything finally clicks.
