The overall record of 1 win and 2 places from 12 races — winning roughly 1 in every 12 outings — tells you this is not a horse that makes a habit of winning, but the recent form is pointing sharply in the right direction. The last six runs read 10th, two unfinished or unplaced runs in the middle, then a third, a first, and a sixth most recently. That improvement from deep in the pack to the top of it is exactly the kind of arc that gets people interested. The fact that Connemara Shore raced just one day ago shows the team is keeping the horse busy and in good rhythm right now.

There is one puzzle worth noting. Phillip Enright has ridden this horse seven times and is yet to ride a winner on board — 0 from 7 together. That is a significant chunk of the horse's career spent with the same jockey and nothing to show for it in the win column. It was a different arrangement that got the job done at Wexford in March, which raises an interesting question about whether that partnership will continue. Robert Tyner's yard has sent out 15 winners this season, so there is clearly no shortage of form in the stable — Connemara Shore just needs to find a way to be part of that story more regularly.
