The trainer is Dermot Weld, one of Irish racing's most decorated figures, operating out of his Curragh base in Co Kildare. With 29 winners on the board already this season, the yard is clearly in fine form, and Weld has a long reputation for producing well-prepared horses on debut. When a trainer of his calibre points a well-bred three-year-old at a race, it is rarely by accident.
