Centrum

Centrum is a three-year-old still searching for its breakthrough after three races without a win or a place. The horse has not yet found the form to trouble the judges, finishing 11th, 9th, and 8th in its last three outings. With the Gosden team in Newmarket — one of the most successful yards in the country, who have already sent out 140 winners this season — there is clearly belief that improvement will come. That kind of support from an elite stable suggests the the yard see something worth developing, even if the results have not yet arrived. Racing is a long game for young horses, and a three-year-old with three races under its belt is still very much learning its trade. Whether Centrum will click into gear and start competing at a level where wins arrive remains to be seen, but being trained by John and Thady Gosden certainly gives it every chance to work that out.
