What works in Carniny's favour is the team behind it. Cian Collins operates out of Navan in Co Meath and has sent out 20 winners already this season — a yard clearly in good form and capable of placing horses where they can compete. Collins getting a horse ready and active says something in itself; Carniny ran just one day ago, so whatever impression it made, the stable has kept it ticking over and in training.

There is nothing here yet to build a big story around, and that is worth saying plainly. But every horse that eventually becomes interesting starts somewhere, and right now Carniny is at the very beginning of that journey.
