Ed Walker's yard at Upper Lambourn has sent out 80 winners this season alone, which is the kind of output that puts a stable firmly among the busiest and most productive in British racing. When a trainer of that calibre keeps running a horse, it means they believe in it — and with Capichera having raced just four times at the age of three, there is clearly a plan in place. Three-year-olds are still developing, and plenty of horses find their best form as the season progresses and confidence builds.

Having raced just one day ago, Capichera is right in the thick of an active campaign. No wins yet, but zero from four is a record that can change in an instant — and for a horse finishing second twice in its last four races, that moment does not feel far away.
