Cameley Days

Cameley Days got off the mark at Great Yarmouth back in October 2025, which is always a significant moment — the first win tends to tell you whether a horse has properly worked out what racing is about. Clearly it did, because the form since then has been building steadily. The most recent victory came at Windsor just last week on 7 May 2026, and that kind of back-to-back winning momentum at this stage of a season is exactly what a yard looks for.

That yard is Chris Dwyer's operation in Newmarket, one of British racing's great training centres. Dwyer's team has sent out 8 winners this season, and Cameley Days is clearly one of the horses carrying that tally along. Newmarket trainers tend to have strong pipelines of improving horses, and Cameley Days looks like a good example of one finding its feet and running with it.

Most of the horse's racing has come at Class 6 level — the entry-level tier of British racing — where it has won 2 from 7 (roughly 29%, or just under 1 in 3). That win rate at that level is solid, not spectacular, but combined with the recent purple patch, it suggests a horse that is getting more confident and consistent rather than flattening off. The slight dip in the middle of those last six runs — finishing eighth and tenth in two outings — shows it is not infallible, but the bounce back either side of that blip is encouraging. Horses that can recover from a bad run and win again are generally more reliable than those who need everything to go perfectly.

At four years old and raced just 13 times, Cameley Days still has room to develop. Right now, though, the momentum is pointing in the right direction.
