Call The Cavalry

The most recent race came just yesterday, which suggests the team are keeping this horse busy and are clearly not short of confidence in finding a suitable opportunity. Trained by Chris Timmons out of Drumree in County Meath, Call The Cavalry is part of a yard that has sent out five winners already this season, so there is clearly form in the camp — it just hasn't arrived yet for this particular horse.

At three years old, there is still time on the clock. Some horses of this age take a while to find their feet and work out what racing is actually about, and a trainer willing to keep running a horse through a quiet spell is often one who believes the penny is about to drop. Whether Call The Cavalry turns out to be that kind of late bloomer, or simply one that needs the right conditions to click, the next few runs will be telling.
