Brooq

Brooq is a two-year-old in early days of racing, having run once so far without troubling the judge. The horse was well beaten on debut a day ago, finishing twelfth of the field. Trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien at Ballyroe in Co Tipperary, Brooq is part of a yard that has already sent out 31 winners this season, so there is clearly quality in the operation. Whether Brooq will develop into a competitive racer remains to be seen — debut races are often more about gaining experience than predicting the future.
