That kind of chemistry between horse and rider is rare, and it clearly matters. When Coltherd is in the saddle and the ground is soft, this horse has a real profile.

Hexham seems to suit Breeze Of Wind particularly well — 2 wins from just 3 visits to that track is an exceptional return, suggesting the course itself plays to its strengths. The first career win came there in December 2023, and the track has clearly remained a happy hunting ground. The most recent win, however, came at Ayr on 24 February 2025, now 14 months ago and the most recent absence from the winner's circle worth noting — the last 6 races have brought a second, a third, and a handful of mid-field finishes, but no win.

The Coltherd yard has sent out just one winner this season, so conditions haven't been ideal all round, but with heavy skies and a return to Hexham on the horizon, there's every reason to think Breeze Of Wind has another win in it yet.
