Born Bright

Trained by Ms Claire O'Connell out of Ashbourne in Co Meath, Born Bright is part of a yard that has sent out 4 winners this season — a small but productive operation that clearly knows how to get a horse ready to perform. O'Connell's team does not have the firepower of a big stable, so every winner counts, and Born Bright has been one of their more reliable contributors.

The partnership with jockey James Smith is where things get particularly interesting. That kind of chemistry between horse and rider is not accidental.
