What gives that performance some context is the age of this horse. Two-year-olds are essentially rookies, racing for the first time in their lives, and consistency at this stage matters more than it might look on paper. Finishing third from two attempts is not a disaster — plenty of horses this age take several runs before everything clicks. The question now is whether that improvement from fourth to third signals a trajectory that continues upward.

Blixen Force is trained by Robson De Aguiar, based out of Mullingar in County Westmeath. The yard has sent out 11 winners this season, which tells you this is not a stable going through the motions — De Aguiar clearly knows how to get horses ready to win. Having a young, still-developing horse in a yard that is actively producing results is a promising sign for what might come next as Blixen Force gains experience and confidence.
