That's the sort of pattern you see in a horse that belongs at a particular level and is reliably competitive there. The most recent win came three months ago, so there's a slight gap in the record, but the horse raced just a day ago and is clearly still active and being campaigned.

Jane Chapple-Hyam's Dalham yard in Suffolk has had a solid season with 24 winners, and Birgham Dub fits the profile of a horse being carefully brought along. The two-from-four record suggests the trainer isn't throwing this horse at impossible tasks — instead, there's a sense of finding the right level and getting the best out of it. For a 3-year-old to win half its races is genuinely rare and marks Birgham Dub as something worth watching.
