Billy No Mates

The horse has not won since September 2023, more than three years ago, despite continuing to race actively. His recent form shows modest returns: three places in his last six runs, along with some races where he finished further back. Ridden most often by Connor Beasley, they have not found success together — 13 races without a win — and his trainer Michael Dods, who runs a strong yard out of Piercebridge in County Durham, has had better luck with his other inmates this season. At Class 5 level, where Billy No Mates typically competes, he has won 2 of his 14 attempts, which suggests he is capable at that grade but hardly dominant even there. His last victory at Haydock Park remains the highlight of recent seasons, now more than three years in the past. For a horse still racing regularly, that is a long drought.
