Trained by Andrew Balding at Kingsclere in Hampshire, Belgravian is part of one of the most productive yards in the country right now. Balding's team has sent out 200 winners this season alone — a remarkable volume that speaks to the depth and organisation of the operation. When a horse comes out of that yard in form, it tends to mean something.

What makes Belgravian genuinely interesting is how clearly the conditions suit. On fast, dry ground, the record reads 2 wins from 4 races — a 50% win rate, which is extraordinary at any level of the sport. Over long distances of two miles or more, it gets even better: 3 wins from just 5 races, a 60% success rate. That's not a coincidence, that's a profile. This is a horse that wants to be running a long way on firm ground, and when those conditions arrive, it delivers.

Most of Belgravian's racing has come at Class 5 level — the everyday, bread-and-butter end of the sport — where it has won 2 of 6 races. That's a fair return at that level, though the horse has clearly been capable of better. It opened its winning account at Doncaster in June 2025 and most recently scored at Goodwood in August — two very different tracks, which suggests the ability isn't tied to one specific venue. The last recorded result was a fourth-place finish three days ago, so this is a horse very much in the thick of a campaign.
