Trained by Paul Mulligan out of Navan in County Meath, Beacon Bypass ran just yesterday, so this is a yard very much in the middle of its campaign. Mulligan's team has sent out one winner so far this season — modest numbers, but small yards often work with patience rather than volume, placing horses carefully and waiting for the right opportunity.
With only two races to go on, it is genuinely too early to draw firm conclusions about what Beacon Bypass is or isn't capable of. Some horses take time to find their feet, and a place from two tries at least shows the horse is competitive enough to be thereabouts. The next few races will tell a much clearer story.
