Barachiel

The recent form makes for interesting reading. A second-place finish sits in the middle of that sequence, sandwiched between a sixth and an eighteenth, and the most recent run produced another distant effort. That kind of inconsistency — capable of running well one day and disappointing the next — is the puzzle Robert Stephens and his team at Caldicot will be trying to solve. Stephens trains out of Monmouthshire and has had a productive season, sending out 11 winners, so he clearly knows how to get horses to perform. The question is finding the right opportunity for Barachiel to put it all together.

Having raced just yesterday, Barachiel is very much in active campaign mode. A horse that runs frequently is a horse whose trainer believes there's something worth pursuing, and with that placed effort already on the card, there's at least evidence that a win isn't out of reach — it just hasn't clicked yet.
