Avispado

Trained by David Menuisier at Pulborough in West Sussex, Avispado runs for a yard that is clearly in decent form this season, with twenty winners already sent out. The most encouraging sign in Avispado's record is that fourth-place finish, which shows the horse can be competitive at the distances and class levels it is being asked to contest. The recent form — eighth, ninth, eleventh, fifth, fourth, eighth — shows some inconsistency, but that is not uncommon in a young horse still developing. At three years old, Avispado has time on its side, and the pattern of finishing in mid-field suggests it is not out of its depth. The yard will be working to identify a race where things click into place and the horse can finally break its duck.
