The career started with a first win at Killarney in July 2024, and the most recent victory came just last week at Southwell on 25 April 2026. That is a horse in form right now, which matters enormously in racing. Winning races close together is hard, and doing it as recently as a week ago means trainer Declan Carroll — based at Malton in North Yorkshire, where the yard has already sent out 22 winners this season — clearly has this horse in a good place at the moment.

The regular partnership with jockey Gary Carroll is worth noting. He has ridden Avatar Jet in 6 races and won once together, which sounds modest, but the wider recent form tells a more encouraging story. The last six runs read 3-1-13-3-4-4, with the most recent result first — that is a win, a second place, and four other top-four finishes either side of one rough day. Horses have bad days just like anyone else, and one result out of thirteen barely dents what is otherwise a consistent pattern of showing up and competing. When a horse is finishing in the first four as regularly as this, it means it is running in the right races and travelling well through them — it just has not always found that final bit of pace at the end.

With a win last week and a consistent run of form behind it, Avatar Jet is one of those horses worth keeping an eye on. At the right distance, for a yard clearly in good shape this season, it has shown it can win — and recently.
