Where Arctic Thunder struggles is in the higher-class Class 3 races: it has run eight times at that level without a win. This horse appears to have a ceiling, and that ceiling sits just below the very top tier of racing. It is the kind of animal that punches hard at Class 4 and below and occasionally steps up to surprise, but asking it to perform week in and week out against the elite is likely a bridge too far. For a yard as prolific as Walker's, Arctic Thunder represents solid, useful stock—a horse that does its job reliably at the right level and occasionally threatens something bigger.
