Trainer Ruth Carr operates out of Stillington in North Yorkshire and has sent out 63 winners already this season — that is a yard in seriously good form, and horses trained by people who know how to get a winner ready tend to get their moments eventually. Carr is not a trainer who wastes entries, so the fact that Antique Blue keeps appearing in races suggests there is a belief within the yard that the horse has more to offer than the results currently show.

Having raced just yesterday, Antique Blue is clearly being kept busy, and with only five races on the clock at three years old, there is still plenty of time for things to come together. Some horses simply take longer to work out what racing is about. Whether this one will figure it out soon is the question — but with a trainer firing on all cylinders this season, the opportunity is certainly there.
