She typically competes at Class 4 level — roughly the middle tier of British racing, where competition is solid but not elite — and has gone without a win in all three races at that level. Raced just yesterday, she is clearly an active runner whose the yard are keeping busy trying to find the right opportunity.

What makes her situation interesting rather than discouraging is who is trying to unlock her potential. Richard Hannon, based at Herridge in Wiltshire, is one of the most productive training operations in the country — his yard has already sent out 118 winners this season alone. That is a staggering output, and it means Annastarzy is being prepared by someone who genuinely knows how to get horses winning. Sometimes a horse just needs a little longer to find its feet, and with a trainer firing at that rate, there is every reason to think the right race at the right time could still be out there for her.
