Amalou

Amalou is a three-year-old still hunting for a first win after four races without a placing. The horse has been consistent without hitting the mark — recent runs show finishing positions of 8th, 11th, 8th, and 9th — the kind of mid-field form that suggests ability to stay the course but not yet the sharpness to trouble the front runners. With Daniel & Claire Kubler's Lambourn yard sending out 34 winners this season, there is clearly experienced horsemanship behind Amalou, though the horse has not yet rewarded that attention with a breakthrough victory. Still active and raced just yesterday, Amalou remains a work in progress.
