The horse broke its duck at Fairyhouse on 1 July, then came back and won again just last week at Cork on 14 August. Between those victories came a third-place finish, a blip that proves nothing except that racing is not always predictable. What matters is that Alwaysanangel bounced straight back to the winner's enclosure. That resilience — the ability to shake off a disappointing run and deliver again — is a sign of a horse with something real about it.

Trained by J P O'Brien at Owning Hill in County Kilkenny, Alwaysanangel is part of a yard in exceptional form this season. O'Brien has already sent out 160 winners, which means this horse is surrounded by expertise and winning infrastructure. Still active and last raced just a day ago, Alwaysanangel is clearly being campaigned hard while the momentum lasts. For a 2-year-old on the rise, that aggressive approach makes sense. The horse has already proven it can handle racing frequently and bounce back stronger.
