All The Glory

The highlight of that career came at Newbury on 23 March 2024, when she won a Class 1 race — the very top tier of British racing. For context, most horses never get near a race of that quality, let alone win one. Her journey started more modestly at Hexham in May 2023, but the Newbury win showed that on her best day, she belongs in elite company. She tends to operate in Class 4 races — the mid-range level — where she has won 3 from 11, a win rate of 27%, or roughly 1 in every 4. That is a strong record at that grade.

The key to All The Glory is the ground. On wet or slightly soft ground she has won 3 of 12 races, or 1 in 4 — sharply better than her overall record. Her rider at Southwell, Ben Macey, was explicit about it: the plan was built entirely around the ground conditions, and she delivered. He described her as a dream to ride, a horse who meets her hurdles perfectly and figures things out for herself. That kind of natural instinct is a real asset.

The trainer, Jonjo O'Neill, is optimistic that she has more to offer, particularly over fences, despite a slip at Aintree last time that ended her race almost before it began. She last won on New Year's Day 2025 at Southwell, and has not won in six races since — though she has been placing and running respectably, and her most recent run came just yesterday, so she is very much still in action. The yard has sent out 51 winners this season, which suggests a team in good form.

She is at her most dangerous when the ground is soft, the class is manageable, and she can be produced with a forward-going ride. When those things come together, as they did at Southwell and spectacularly at Newbury, All The Glory is exactly what her name suggests.
