Al Sayah

From 13 races at those longer trips she has won six times — nearly half of them — which is a remarkable conversion rate and tells you that stamina is genuinely her weapon. Shorten the trip, and the results are more ordinary. Stretch it out, and she becomes a different proposition entirely.

Neil Mulholland trains her from his yard in Limpley Stoke in Wiltshire, and it has been a productive season — 60 winners sent out, which is the kind of output that marks a stable in form. Mulholland has spoken warmly about Al Sayah, describing her as tough and consistent with a great attitude. She was bought speculatively at a sale, which means the team took a punt on potential rather than a proven profile — and she has repaid that faith steadily. He has also mentioned that her Flat racing background gives him something to work with in terms of how she's rated, which is a useful tool for placing her in the right races.

She raced at Newton Abbot last November on her comeback, winning two from three there overall — a track where she has clearly found her feet. Her most recent win came at Taunton on 9 April 2026, just four weeks ago, so she is in form and racing frequently. Her last run was only yesterday, which underlines just how active she is at the moment.

Jockey Conor O'Farrell has been her most regular partner, winning 2 of their 6 races together — around one in three, which is a solid relationship by any measure. Al Sayah first won at Fontwell Park back in May 2024, and she has been a reliable presence since. Her typical level of competition, Class 4, is a solid middle tier of racing — not the headline stuff, but competitive enough that winning there consistently means something.
