Al Aali

At four years old, Al Aali is not a young horse still finding its feet. Most horses at this age have already shown what they are capable of, which makes the lack of any result so far a genuine concern. That said, the yard sending out 51 winners this season shows George Scott's Newmarket operation is in good form — the horses around Al Aali are performing. Whether that form rubs off on this one remains to be seen.

The fact that Al Aali raced just yesterday and is considered currently active means the yard — the team — clearly have not given up. That persistence from a busy, successful yard is perhaps the most interesting thing about Al Aali right now. Scott's team know their horses, and if they keep running this one, they presumably believe there is something there worth finding. Whether they are right is a question only the next few races will answer.
