Its best performances have come at Class 6 level, the entry level of British racing, where it has won 6 of 7 attempts (86%). That tells you this horse is a cut above when the competition is at the right level, even if it hasn't been tested against stronger company. The yard itself is in strong form, having sent out 40 winners this season, so the operation behind this horse knows what it's doing.

The current form is a puzzle, though. Aisling Oscar hasn't won in its last six races, and recent finishes of 14th, 7th, 2nd, 4th, 4th suggest it's been running consistently without quite getting over the line. A second-place finish in there shows the ability hasn't vanished entirely. It last won at Southwell in February 2026, three months ago, so the yard will be keen to find out whether a return to Newcastle — where the horse almost becomes a different animal — can spark a return to winning ways.

One interesting wrinkle: its most regular jockey, Neve Bennett, has partnered it seven times without a win between them. That's not necessarily a criticism — horses and jockeys don't always click, and the sample is relatively small — but it's a combination that hasn't yet unlocked what this horse can clearly do. Keatley's yard has the winners on the board this season; it may simply be a case of waiting for the right race, at the right track, to get Aisling Oscar back to what it does best.
