The interesting part of his story is the company he has been keeping. He won on his very first race over hurdles at Ffos Las in November 2024, then went to Ayr and finished second, trying to give 7lb — nearly half a stone of extra weight — to a horse called Jet To Vegas, who went on to win a Grade 2 race and finish fourth in a Grade 1, which is essentially the top table of jump racing. Finishing behind a horse of that quality, while carrying a penalty, is not a defeat to be embarrassed about. It tells you Admiral Stewart has been mixing it with genuinely good horses.

His most recent win came at Sandown Park in November 2025, and the pattern that stands out is what happens when he races at between a mile and six furlongs and two miles — his preferred distance. He has won 2 of his 3 races at that range, a win rate of 67%, which is an extraordinary return. Find the right trip and this horse performs at a completely different level.

He is most often partnered by jockey Gavin Sheehan, and that combination has produced both career wins — 2 from 7 races together, winning roughly 1 in every 3.5 rides. That kind of understanding between horse and jockey is worth something. Trainer Jamie Snowden, based at Lambourn, has had a productive season with 82 winners, and he is clearly excited about what comes next: the plan is to send Admiral Stewart over fences, starting over two miles on wet ground. Given how well the horse handled soft conditions early in his career, that makes sense. Snowden believes there is "an awful lot more to come" — and given the quality of horse he has already beaten, and the way he dominates at his best distance, it is genuinely hard to argue with that.
