She raced just yesterday, which tells you the team is keeping her busy and actively looking for the right opportunity. Sometimes it takes a young horse time to figure out what racing is all about, and at three years old, Ada Rose is still very much in the learning phase of her career.

What works in her favour is who is doing the teaching. Her trainer, Kevin Philippart De Foy, operates out of Newmarket — the heartland of British flat racing — and has sent out 41 winners already this season. That is a yard in seriously good form, and horses in good yards tend to get every chance. When a trainer is firing in winners at that kind of rate, you can be fairly confident that if Ada Rose has ability, it will eventually be found and placed correctly. The question is simply when she puts it all together.
